Fermat plafond and pendant lamps (2009) The Fermat lamps designed by Brita Flander are a combination of acrylic and sand-blasted glass. The name of the lamps comes from the mathematician Pierre de Fermat from the 17th century, and the spiral equation he solved. The shade of the lamp consists of spirals which start from the same level and open up in the same direction. There are a hanging light and a pendant lamp in the Fermat series. The light source for the lamps are energy-saving lamps, one for the hanging light and four for the pendant lamp. | |
